“Like an iceberg, we all want to focus on our highest peaks, suppressing what is underneath the surface of the water because we don’t want others to see the darkness. But it is within this darkness that we find what keeps us afloat. So, with this said, the idea behind this piece became a portrait of my sense of growth as an individual; what keeps me afloat, the joy that I face while also being juxtaposed by darkness. A perfect balance.”
